UPDATE:  1919 Media Company is pleased to announce that our television screenplay for Best, for which The Best of Ira the short film is based, has been optioned for television.  As part of this deal, 1919 Media agrees to halt all production and marketing of the Best of Ira to allow the production company an opportunity to rework and shop the series for financing and a production deal.

The response to the Best of Ira has been amazing.  We thank our entire team, including screenwriter Dionne Roberts-Emegha, our Executive Producer Drake Booker, and all of our actors and crew who were gearing up to shoot the proof-of-concept next month.   While an option does not guarantee our script will be adapted to a series, we believe the deal ensures the best opportunity for our long-term vision to come to life.

This has been an amazing ride thus far, and we thank every person who contributed and supported our crowdfunding efforts on Indiegogo and through private donations.  We also thank all our Chicagoland supporters who reached out and shared information about our project.
