Terms and Conditions of America's Top OG Search

Submission Dates:
America's Top OGs is now open for submissions, with 1919 Media Company executives eager to discover 2022's most swagger-reppin' male professionals of color -- doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, entrepreneurs, engineers, athletes, adventurers and other declared OGs who represent their industries at the highest levels.

 

We're looking for applicants between the ages of 25 - 55 year old; however, all applicants must be at least 18 years-old to apply.  Submissions must include: (1) First/Last Name, (2) complete mailing address, (3) phone number, (4) email, (5) company, (6) profession, (7) one - two paragraphs on "what makes you a real OG," and (8) a headshot, uploaded with your entry, via the submission form on this website.  All applicants must agree to the terms and conditions of America's  Top OGs contest.

About:
1919 Media Company will select the top 25 OGs in the country to represent 1919 Media Company as Panelists on the 2022 - 2023 OG Tour, promoting the original television series, "The Raising of an OG." now in pre-production.

Timeline and deadlines:
The first-round submission period for America's Top OGs, runs from July 5, 2022 - September 12, 2022 (11:59 p.m. EST).  The first round of selections will be announced no later than September 19, 2022.   

 

Finalists:

Announced finalists will be required to submit additional material, including a two-minute video explaining the qualities that make you a Top OG in your respective field and in the hearts of friends, family and/or romantic partner(s).  Finalists will receive instructions on how to submit finalist materials, deadlines, and next-steps.  All finalist materials must be received no later than October 3, 2022 (11:59 p.m. EST) to receive consideration.  

Winners:
Winners will be announced no later than October 15, 2022, and will receive monetary contracts outlining compensation for each completed hosting assignment, including participation in more than one, and up to 40, in person and/or virtual tours dates and times.  Winners will also be asked to participate in other promotional activities, including photo shoots, receptions, or special events in furtherance of the OG Tour.  In addition to compensation, winners will be offered exclusive opportunities by producers of the original television series, "The Raising of an OG," which could include signed copies of the script(s), pre-screening of shows, early casting calls, investment opportunities, or other benefits.

Rules and Releases:

• Material is accepted via electronic submission via 1919 Media Company's online submission form only.

• There is no limit to the number of people a person can nominate, but each submission must include a separate and unique name, email address, cv or LinkedIn link, and reason for consideration, to be considered a submission.

• Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST of announced deadline dates.  There are no fee payments or compensation for submissions.

• All submitted material must be original, and all rights, permissions and consents must be wholly owned by the party submitting via the Top OG Submission Form.

• No revisions, rewrites, addenda, or substitutions of entered submissions will be accepted. 

• By submitting to America's Top OG Search, you authorize us to use any trusted third-party online and cloud-based services and databases for hosting, managing and/or transmitting your submission file(s).

• By submitting to America's Top OG Search, you hereby grant to 1919 Media Company the irrevocable, LIFETIME, ROYALTY FREE, NON-EXCLUSIVE, WORLDWIDE right to use your name, picture, portrait, photograph, video footage, voice, music (including words and/or lyrics), and audio (hereinafter "Content") of your submissions in all forms and in all media now in existence or to be developed in the future and in all manners, in promotional efforts, including the dissemination to publishers and/or media outlets as described above, or any other lawful purposes.  Further, you waive any right to inspect or approve the use of the Content, or finished version incorporating the Content, including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith.  You hereby waive any claims you may have based on any usage of the Content derived there from, including but not limited to claims for either invasion of privacy or libel.  You hereby warrant that you have the right to grant these permissions and that you have sole copyright ownership of any Content referenced herein, or that you have obtained permission from the copyright owner(s) of said Content to grant such permissions.  You warrant that you are of legal age and competent to grant this release. You attest that you have read this release and am fully aware of its contents.  You further agree that you are not entitled to and will not receive any compensation for your participation in this promotional product.  You further release and absolve 1919 Media Company from any liability resulting from any  use of the content, and agree to indemnify 1919 Media Company should it suffer damages as a result of its use of the Content.  It is expressly agreed, however, that 1919 Media Company is under no obligation to use said Content for any purpose whatsoever.

• All copyright, ownership and derivative rights to the material submitted to 1919 Media Company remains with the original rights holders.

• All professionals, without regard to age, gender, country of origin, native language, or sexual preference at least 18 years of age are eligible to apply.

• The material submitted must be in English.
